Cymone Coker, also known as “Chef C” is a self-taught chef from Pleasantville NJ. Over the years she developed a passion for creating multicultural dishes and preparing meals for her friends and family. Spending time working with the Metro Atlanta Boys & Girls club, Cymone grew a love for giving back to the community and pouring into the youth. Creating a children’s cookbook seemed like the perfect way to intertwine the two.   Growing up, while the other kids were outside playing, young Cymone would sit under her grandma Irma and watch her as she prepared Sunday dinner for the family. With her father’s love for seafood and her mother’s niche in cooking Italian dishes and comfort food, she was destined to have a career in culinary.    Now residing in Atlanta Georgia, Cymone runs a catering and meal prep company, New Chick in The Kitchen. New Chick in the Kitchen has catered events across the U.S and has been featured in multiple online publications.
